Get to know Arilyn – Jenni, 3D Artist Trainee

Written by Frida Gullichsen | 13.9.2018

Back again with the latest edition of getting to know Arilyn. This week we will be asking the same serious and other not so serious questions to get to know the newest addition to our team, Jenni Vistiaho, who started as our 3D Trainee only last week!

So let's get started with the basics! What did you have for breakfast?

Coffee and blueberry soup.

What would you rather have had?

Maybe a sandwich.

Favourite drink?

Water is great.

Water is the best! What about your favourite season?

Autumn.

Do you like the rain?

Anything is better than sunny.

I can see why summer is not your favourite! Chocolate or strawberry?

Chocolate.

Dogs or cats?

Both.

They are equally awesome yes. If you didn’t do what you do now, what would you be doing?

Animation.

What job would you be terrible at?

Programmer, a bit too technical for me.

What do you wish you knew more about?

Anything really. All kinds of random knowledge is fun.

Favourite band?

Soul’D OUT

Unusual hobbies or interests?

Occasionally I try to continue my Asian Ball-Jointed Doll projects, but that stuff is expensive.

An unusual hobby indeed, care to elaborate?

They are resin cast dolls which are fully articulated with ball and socket joints and whose pieces are held together with elastic stringing. Asian because most of the dolls come from China, Japan and Korea. I collect and paint them, but like I said, they are pretty expensive so it's not a fast paced hobby.

Now tell us, why Arilyn?

I study 3D animation and visualisation and I applied here, because I thought it would be nice to experience what’s like to be a 3D generalist. I’ve also never done AR before, so working here is a new interesting challenge.

That was it for this episode of Getting to know Arilyn, next week same questions, same setup!

Warm augmented regards,
Frida
